This and "Gilded Pearls" were the first of Carol Gee's "Girlfriends' books" that I've read. After my experience, I now see why her loyal readers call her books "girlfriend books"!
Not only does she have a humorist nature that is entertaining, Carol has a refreshing writing style that allows you to escape the pressures of life. Random Notes has a wealth of wisdom, knowledge, real talk, life lessons, laughs as well as tears. I particularly love her passages on the challenges of marriage, singleness, parent and child relationships, betrayal as well as learning how to move on.
